What you'll do

We are on the lookout for a Lead/Principal Civil Engineer to integrate with our Bunbury team.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Coordinating design for selected projects or project components in collaboration with other design disciplines to maintain overall design integrity.
  • Offering technical counsel for all civil design aspects, such as bulk earthworks, roadworks, drainage, constructability, and interfacing with other disciplines.
  • Nurturing positive stakeholder relationships internally and externally.
  • Guiding the project team and raising awareness about technical and commercial risk assessments/mitigation.
  • Guiding and mentoring junior engineers, designers, and drafters to assist them in delivery and professional growth.
  • Orienting the civil design team, if necessary.
  • Conducting calculations and verifying design drawings and models to ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
  • Creating study and design documentation, technical specifications, and project deliverables.

What you'll have

Obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering.

Extensive experience in civil engineering, delivering resource and infrastructure projects.

Exhibited technical proficiency with a track record of managing and executing design solutions.

Demonstrated success in cross-discipline project delivery and effective collaboration with all core engineering disciplines.

A collaborative mindset with an understanding of the importance of teamwork.

A drive for continuous improvement, quality, and enhancing service for our clients.

Keen attention to detail, coupled with strong analytical and communication skills.

Capability to lead and mentor junior engineers across technical and project delivery realms.

Prior experience encompassing scopes related to roads, drainage, and mining infrastructure and facilities pads.

Proven skills in generating engineering calculations, checking design drawings and models.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, alongside the skill to engage with external and internal stakeholders.
