About the role


We're seeking a Climate Manager to lead the enhancement and integration of Transurban's Climate Change Framework and related strategies, developing a sustainable value proposition that drives towards a decarbonized world and enhances our social license.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Lead the enhancement and integration of the Group's Climate Change Framework by overseeing its progress on key climate initiatives, targets and metrics
  • Identify, analyse and embed the impact of transitional and physical climaterelated risk relating to Transurban's strategy, operations and value chain
  • Provide expert climate advice to business leaders and drive partnerships with stakeholders to accelerate climate action
  • Manage the climaterelated reporting and disclosures in accordance with the Task Force on Climaterelated Financial Disclosures (TCFD), IFRS S2, CDP and any emerging climaterelated standards and benchmarks
  • Work collaboratively across the Sustainability Team to identify, prioritise and leverage opportunities to enhance the Sustainability Strategy and our approach to transition planning, nature and social licence.


This role will suit someone who has strong leadership skills, a curious mind and is a natural builder of relationships.

Reporting to the Head of Sustainability, you will have:

  • Extensive climaterelated experience in the infrastructure, property or sustainability consulting sectors (with an ASX listed company preferably)
  • Insight into the evolving stakeholder environment, with working knowledge of climate change policies, legislation and compliance requirements, as well as current and future climate reporting in line with the recommendations of the TCFD and IFRS S
  • Excellent presentation skills, knowing how to distill key messages from complex information, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated selfinitiative with strong planning and change/ project management skills, and able to handle multiple, timesensitive projects
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, helping to problem solve through your tenacity, passion and the ability to influence the right people at the right time.
