Our family owned Australian Business based in the South East Suburbs are a local food packaging manufacturer and are currently seeking a Qualified Permanent Printer for an immediate start.

  • Day Shift 6am - 2pm $35-$39 pending on experience per hour

Reporting to the Printing Supervisor the purpose of your role is to coordinate the flow of raw materials through the various production machines within the Printing section so as to achieve the required finished goods within the time constraints agreed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • On a daily basis determines priorities of printed product in conjunction with the Production Schedules;
  • Controls scrap and production waste to a minimum;
  • Monitors supplies of stock and advises Printing Supervisor when replenishment is required;
  • Reports on a timely basis any maintenance issues to the Printing Supervisor;
  • Ensures all documentation is completed accurately and on a timely basis;
  • Implement, support and sustain lean principles within the work area; and
  • Assists in other areas as required.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Qualified and experience printer working in the printing industry.
  • Production orientated and will accept responsibility for all functions required to supporting, operating and improving the printing and laminating processes.
  • Ability to demonstrate good communication and time management skills.
  • Good knowledge of Occupations Health and Safety and Food Safety
  • Focus on results
  • Takes responsibility for the team's performance as well as their own
  • Must be happy to complete a pre medical - drug and alcohol
