About the Hospital:

This Private Hospital is located in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith.

The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including:
orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics.

The Hospital has eight operating Theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit which includes intensive care.


As a Nurse Unit Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • The position is responsible for providing clinical leadership to the Cath Lab to compliment the strategic direction, operational processes and quality management of all patients.
  • You will provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.
  • As the Nurse Unit Manager you will be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources

Essential Criteria:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Working with Children check
  • Significant Cath Lab Experience
  • Post Graduate qualification in a specialty field / or higher / working towards
  • Experience in managing a department (including acting/deputising a manager role)
  • Compliance with ACSQHC National standards
  • A strong commitment to developing in a management role
  • Computer literacy including MS office and various data bases
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
  • Proven time management and prioritisation skills
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge base in labour management
  • Demonstrated HR management experience
