About the role
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Operational Purchasing: Assist in ordering goods and services and processing a range of purchase orders. Ensure all activities comply with the Queensland Procurement Policy and internal processes and procedures.
- Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Strategic Sourcing team, including document reviews, managing the email inbox, and taking meeting minutes.
- Contract Support: Assist in the development and implementation of Standing Offer Agreements and other key contracts, ensuring all processes are streamlined and efficient.
- Customer Service: Deliver high standards of customer service to internal stakeholders and customers. Build and maintain robust relationships with key suppliers and contractors.
- Report Management: Review and action procurement-related reports, such as outstanding purchase orders and basket of goods reports, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
About You
We are seeking candidates who possess:
- Formal accreditation in procurement, purchasing, and/or contract management is highly regarded. Relevant qualifications include Queensland Purchasing, QGP, CIPS, or similar.
- Demonstrated experience in an operational purchasing role within a strategic sourcing or procurement environment.
- Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Proficiency in managing procurement reports and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Must have full working rights in Australia.
