The role:

We are seeking talented, reliable, and passionate support workers to join our new team.

As a Support Worker you will support people living with disability through:

  • Supporting the participant to access community events or services and with social outings and transport.
  • Accurate data collection and completion of all required documentation including progress notes as required.
  • Providing support in a manner that is consistent and encourages and motivates the Participant to meet their goals and independent skills building, through person centred practices.
  • Promoting a stimulating, caring and culturally appropriate environment for participants.
  • Providing any required selfcare, social and emotional support to the participant as required.
  • Maintaining appropriate and effective communication with all stakeholders, including team leaders, peers, and management.

Mandatory requirements:

- exceptional verbal and written communication skills,
- excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with participants and team members
- a passion and enthusiasm for care and support work in the disability sector
- an ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • All NDIS training modules available on the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission website (completed previously or willing to obtain)
  • Covid Infection Control Certificate (completed previously or willing to obtain)
  • QLD Drivers Licence (without restrictions)
  • Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle
  • First Aid & CPR Certificates
  • Be available to work a 24/7 rotating roster and willing to travel across greater Brisbane (and specifically the Redland area) to provide support for other clients in future as needed;
  • Be able to work evening and night shifts including sleep over shifts
  • Be willing and able to work with complex clients (training provided)
