Due to continued growth within the organisation, our client is looking to appoint a new HSE Advisor within their high risk portfolio of contractor management.

The Role


This role will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of our client's workplace and fostering a culture of wellbeing.

Your primary responsibility is to collaborate with contracting partners, reviewing, identifying, and monitoring work health and safety activities across their diverse projects and programs.

Your efforts will contribute significantly to the safety of contractors, sub-contractors, and personnel across our client's operations.

Specifically you will:
Support contractor accreditation and selection processes;
Provide guidance on safety throughout project lifecycles;
Review and monitor safety programs to align with our client's risk, quality, and safety standards;
Collaborate with internal teams to establish risk management plans, safety considerations, and design integrations;
Provide ongoing support to contractors, ensuring adherence to safe work practices;
Review and provide feedback on contractor safety documentation;
Stay updated on safety regulations, updating contractor requirements accordingly;
Conduct site inspections, participate in safety audits, and ensure contractors comply with safety management plans;
Investigate incidents, hazards, and potential incidents; and

Share insights with internal safety teams and implement corrective actions.

About you

You will be a passionate advocate for workplace safety with a comprehensive understanding of work health and safety practices and regulations

Additionally, you will have:
Relevant industry qualifications such as WHS Diploma / Advanced Diploma;
Training and Assessing qualifications (desirable);
Auditing qualifications (desirable);
Work Safely at Height and/or Work Safely in a Confined Space certificates; and

Exposure or previous experience within the construction industry.
