Our Casual Barista is a key member of the hospitality team, bringing high-quality service and flawless coffee to our members and their guests.

You will also be working with our operations team at the welcome desk to provide quality customer service to guests.

The purpose of the role:

  • Making consistently amazing coffee
  • Connecting with members and providing positive memorable service
  • Providing assistance with events and meetings, and catering for guests when required
  • Keeping on top of industry trends to offer suggestions as we continuously improve our offering.
  • Administration Support to the Hub Team.
  • Help reset the space in the mornings and/or afternoons to ensure everything is tidy, clean and orderly by following our space checklist
  • Assisting the Sales and Events Team with after hours cocktail style functions (5pm 8pm on occasion)

Tasks may include:
bump in and out, serving food and beverage, clean up and greeting guests. These events are not mandatory and are on a volunteer basis.

  • Highstandard Barista skills on a commercial machine
  • Latte art
  • Fast turnaround of orders
  • Great customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Following prescribed service standards
  • Experience following health & safety policies and procedures, legislation, and standards.
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain a RSA
  • Management of stock levels
  • Experience following industry and café trends
  • 12+ years experience in a similar role
