About the role
We are seeking three Cafe Assistants to work alongside our Café Convenor in our busy College Cafe, with the ability to cover leave occasionally if required.
Experience in food service and knowledge of the nutritional requirements of school-aged children is an advantage.Organisational skills, initiative and enthusiasm; and Excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills are a must. This is a very busy area of our College and the right person should enjoy working with young people.
The role will include:
- Food preparation and cooking
- Frontline service with a high level of customer service to students and staff
- Daily cleaning and tidying of the Café
- Following of Safe Food Handling and Hygiene Regulations and Procedures
- Purchase and operation of the College Monitor cashless café system machines
- Receiving of stock orders and ensuring stock is stored in a clean and tidy manner
- Multitasking in a fast paced environment where flexibility is required
