The South Pacific Division (SPD) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is the administrative head office for the church in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and most of the South Pacific Island nations.

The focus of this office as a Christian organisation is to be a catalyst for a disciple-making movement that enables people to follow Jesus Christ and serve the community.


The Seventh-day Adventist Church (SPD) Limited is seeking a highly experienced and strategic minister of the Seventh-day Adventist Church to coordinate the implementation of the overall discipleship strategy across the South Pacific Division (SPD).

This
full-time role will collaborate with relevant stakeholders across Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the pacific island nations, as well as be the key discipleship liaison to the global church.


Essential:

  • Must be a practising baptised member of the Seventhday Adventist Church with a strong commitment to its mission.
  • Must be an ordained / commissioned minister with the Seventhday Adventist Church.
  • A working knowledge of the church and its management throughout the South Pacific Division.
  • Professional training in theology and previous experience in a relevant area of ministry (i.e. family, children, youth, personal).
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Sensitivity to issues of gender, culture, singleness, and religion.
  • Proven ability in management and strategic planning.
  • Proficiency in office based technology software.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Pleasant personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to be a representative from the Pacific with local knowledge, to have input at Seventhday Adventist Church Division level.
