Sun Engineering is seeking a SMP Construction Manager to support us in our Mineral Resource Construction Projects. The applicant must be prepared to consider FIFO rosters.

Specific tasks and responsibilities:


The Construction Manager is responsible for overall project
planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control, whilst providing technical direction & ensuring compliance with quality standards.

The Construction Manager's responsibilities cover areas of project planning, cost management, scheduling, quality management, contract administration and safety management

You will have:

  • Tertiary Qualifications (Advantageous)
  • Previous mill experience.
  • Demonstrated capability on Mechanical / Piping Construction projects
  • Ensuring the safety of all aspects of a project.
  • Development and implementation of construction methodologies.
  • Scheduling/Programming preparation, setting of milestones and ensuring timely completion of projects.


 Progress Reporting
  • Internally and client focused.
  • Management of project specific Quality Assurance requirements ensure final product is to necessary quality standard/level.
  • Consult with management and review project proposals to determine goals, timeframes, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project,
staffing requirements, and allocation of resources.

  • Schedule/Programme preparation, setting of milestones and ensuring timely completion of projects.
