About The Role


Due to continued success and expansion TTi is seeking a Customer Return Centre Team Leader who is responsible for managing the daily activities of the Quality Inspectors ensuring that they receive the support and training needed to achieve operational targets in line with best practice standards.


This hands on, busy role will be based at our site in Dandenong South and report directly to the Customer Return Centre Manager.

Day to day duties will include:


  • Ensure Quality Inspectors complete Inspections in accordance with quality framework.
  • Provide ongoing training to CRC team to improve the capacity of the Centre.
  • Complete quality control assessments of inspections for direct reporting team.
  • Ensure material flow of consumables and special equipment is maintained for respective areas.
  • Monitor and identify trends in CRC to drive efficiency gains.
  • Ensure compliance with all TTI Industries policies and procedures.
  • Monitor productivity of direct reports and conduct performance reviews
  • Provide direct feedback to Quality & Engineering team when required.
  • Attend product training to keep up to date with current product information.
  • Be part of and comply with Techtronic Industries dealership implemented Policies regarding Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Assist CRC Manager in delivering training activities for Quality Inspectors and building a training program for new Inspectors.
  • Back up support for Quality Inspectors during periods of leave.
  • Run toolbox meetings.
  • Entering data and qualifying the quality of the data into Excel.
  • Ensure monthly Safety audits are conducted in line with CRC Managers instruction.

About You
You will have a proven background in a similar role having led and supported teams in the past and have a strong mechanical/technical aptitude in addition to the following skills/experience:

  • Proven experience in leading a Return Centre team or service operations.
  • Strong communication skills ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation.
  • Proactive with ability to think ahead, be a team player and focussed on meeting deadlines.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and creative problem solving.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing continuous business improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to enhance team performance through leadership, development, and empowerment
  • Knowledge of LEAN and/or Six Sigma methodologies is an advantage
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
