Early morning/afternoon shifts available - short 2-3 hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oneonone assistance to children with disabilities, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
  • Implement individualized care plans to address specific needs and goals.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment, promoting independence, social interaction, and personal growth.
  • Assist with daily tasks, including personal hygiene, mealtime support, and medication administration, adhering to established protocols.
  • Facilitate recreational activities and educational development to enhance the children's overall wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, educators, and caregivers, to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children aged 3 to 15 with disabilities, including behavioural disorders, ADHD, and autism.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the unique challenges and needs associated with these disabilities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and engage with children, adapting to their individual communication styles and preferences.
  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations in a calm and professional manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with children, families, and other team members.
