As a PMO lead for a large Programme, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of the PMO to lead the PMO team and will play a key role in implementing processes and governance that align to the programme's delivery method and enable success.

You will develop strong relationships across a broad range of stakeholders to ensure the PMO provides effective support and strategic insights.


You will be responsible for:

  • Leading a small team to achieve the following outcomes:
  • Ensuring there is appropriate and effective governance over decisions and that governance supports delivery teams in managing problems and escalations
  • Status reporting and metrics are transparent, informative and accurate
  • Program control processes (RAIDD, change control, resource and financial management etc) are understood and used as intended by all team members
  • PMO is perceived as providing trusted advice to the program management team

What impact will you have:

  • Leading, motivating and developing members of the PMO team
  • Developing and bedding down processes, standards, methods, and tools to support program management, reporting and controls. This applies to the management of the RAIDD, change control, resources, schedule, program financials and deliverables and documentation.
  • Continuously assess process effectiveness and refine over time
  • Ensuring the RAIDD is accurate and uptodate and advising on the management and escalation of RAIDD items
  • Developing and continually improving reporting and metrics to communicate status and measure progress.
  • Identifying anomalies, trends and potential risks and issues before they materialise through the analysis of status and metrics. Making recommendations to address problems accordingly.
  • Monitoring governance effectiveness and making refinements as required
  • Liaising with program management, delivery teams and key stakeholders
  • Performing secretariat functions as required
