Our client, a Federal Government department, is looking for

Cyber Security professionals at an
***
APS6 and EL1 level to work under broad direction and undertake complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the diverse technology functions of the Agency

.
Key responsibilities of the roles include

  • Assessing the cyber security position of external stakeholders to the Agency and provide advice internally to mitigate risk.
  • Undertaking compliance activities in relation to cyber security standards within the Agency and to Digital Partners.
  • Developing and participating in the implementation of initiatives focused on the reduction of technology risk, governance and compliance to policies and regulatory compliance.
  • Developing IT security standards, policy, procedure and controls for managing risk.
  • Providing advice and guidance on cyber trends, most likely and dangerous threats, applicable security controls and standards.
  • Overseeing, providing peer review and completing risk assessments.
  • Supporting the business by ensuring external stakeholders adequately address all relevant compliance standards such as the PSPF, ISM, Agency Risk Management Frameworks and incident management disciplines.
It is

  • Experience with Australian Government governance concepts with a focus on ICT, policy/standards development, documentation of frameworks, and assisting in the reporting to Senior Executives.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to mentor and provide expertise within a team environment and engage with internal/external stakeholders confidently.
  • Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
