Aurecon's Environment and Planning team have a strong capability from project planning and feasibility to construction on a wide range of projects across both Western Australia and Australia.

Our current committed and projected workload provides a unique and specific opportunity for a Contaminated Land Consultant, Scientist or Engineer to join the team in our Perth office.

The role offers diverse, interesting, and challenging work with the opportunity to make your mark in a consulting environment with the support of a national network of passionate Environmental specialists.


Here are the key things you will do:

  • Undertake field programs including premobilisation and safety planning.
  • Develop Sampling and Analysis Quality Plans.
  • Support fieldwork campaigns including soil, groundwater and surface water sampling, supervision of drilling, test pitting and groundwater well installation.
  • Proactively engage with coaches and mentors to develop your technical skills and gain experience.
  • Provide high quality analysis and reporting, to ASC NEPM requirements.
  • Assist in developing reports to exceptional technical and editorial standard and the work collaboratively with the team to meet client expectations.
  • Proposal and project support to the contaminated land team.

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Degree in environmental engineering or science disciplines.
  • Relevant experience in undertaking contaminated land and/or groundwater investigations.
  • A strong professional work ethic and commitment to health and safety for yourself, your team, subcontractors and clients
  • Understanding of the Contaminated Sites Act 2003 and National Environment Protection Measures and other current and emerging Western Australian legislation, standards and guidelines for contaminated land.
  • A desire to deliver exceptional client experiences.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Australian citizenship, or ability to obtain citizenship in future.
  • Australian Defence Force baseline security clearance, or ability to obtain clearance.
  • Current drivers license.
