Our team of security professionals delivers guarding, mobile patrols, armed services, customer service, crowd control and electronic security solutions supported by our state-of-the-art Grade A1 Security Operations Centre (SOC).
The Role
We are currently seeking experienced Armed Guards who have a high level of customer service.
To be selected for this role you must be able to demonstrate the attributes of presence, maturity and the ability to follow and execute Standard Operating Procedures.
As an Armed Guard at ESS you will have the opportunity to participate in regular and ongoing training and development opportunities.
When you first commence in the role you will attend a 3 day tactical training course and this is just the beginning of the upskilling opportunities you will receive on a quarterly basis.
This is a full time permanent position, based in the south-eastern suburbs with the majority of work being Monday - Friday 6am - 6pm (with occasional weekend shifts).
Your primary duties will include:
- Unlocking and locking up the site
- Searching and securing the premise
- Ensuring the site is safe through regular patrols
- Screening and monitoring vehicles and persons on site
- Scanning mail
- Reviewing cctv footage
- Identifying and reporting any incidents and/or hazards
- Previous experience as an Armed Security Officer
- Certificate III in Security Operations and Firearms
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Australian Driver's License
- Victorian Security License
- Victorian Handgun License (Semi-Auto)
- Working with Children Check
- Covid19 vaccination in line with state requirements
- High level of armed training and knowledge
- High level of security awareness and professionalism
- Immaculate presentation
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and work under pressure
- Ability to respond to situations in a calm and professional manner
- Ability to work within a team and autonomously
