We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Inspector at our Jandakot Depot on a Permanent Full-time basis.

About this role

As an Electrical Inspector designated by the Director of Energy _Safety_, you will be required to undertake complex inspection, investigation, and auditing activities, through utilising extensive technical and electrical knowledge and skills, to ensure the safety of consumer installations connected to the network, in compliance with Western Power's Inspection System Plan and regulatory obligations.

About you
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

• Min 6 to 8 year's demonstrated post-trade experience within the electrical industry, specifically in domestic, light & heavy industrial and commercial work. Hold all appropriate industry licences or certificates of competency in accordance with the _Energy Safety Act 2006_
• Current Electrical Workers License

• Eligibility to be designated as an Inspector (Electrical)
• Certificate IV in Government Investigations _(must be completed within 12 months of commencing position)_
• Certificate of Energy Coordination Act 1994, Electricity Act 1945 (_must be obtained within 12 months of commencing position_)
• National Police Certificate
• Possess Cert III (ESI Distribution / Transmission Overhead / Power Systems Distribution Cable Jointing) and/or Electrical Trade Certificate and hold a current WA Electrical Workers License.
• Detailed working knowledge of AS3000 and West Australian Electrical requirements
• Excellent external stakeholder management skills and experience
• Experience in electrical metering and/or installation practices, regulations, and procedures
• Competent in the utilisation of MS Office Suite and scheduling/work management systems
• Valid WA Driver's License Class 'C' or 'C-A' is desirable
• Knowledge of safety, health and environment regulatory requirements is desirable
• Advanced Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineer is desirable
