Our client is looking for a team of enthusiastic people to take on farm hand roles at their farms located in Plenty, near Hobart in Tasmania.

The company is known for being an employer of choice with a respectful attitude towards their staff.

This is a wonderfully diverse job that will provide you with experience across multiple farm tasks.

Your role will see you handling (but not limited to the following tasks:

  • Taking instruction from paddock leading hand
  • Planting
  • Problem solving in consultation paddock leading hand.
  • Undertake practical labouring duties when possible.
  • Maintaining high quality of work
  • Complete checklists
  • Updating reports and caring for vehicles under your use
Starting as soon as possible, the season is expected to go for approximately 4-6weeks.

During this time, your pay is an hourly rate of $27.46 hour, 8 hours per day and approximately 3-5 days per week.


Your Skills & Experience


Having a flexible nature is key to being successful in this role due to the varied tasks you will be allocated to, and sometimes switching between tasks at short notice.

We are looking for people with a positive attitude who can commit to completing the entire project.

You will need to have good communication skills, be able to follow direction and prove yourself as a team player.


Please ensure you can prove the following:

  • Physically fit and able to work extended hours and flexible shifts
  • Able to work in extreme weather conditions (e.g., raining or hot)
  • Have your own reliable transportation
  • Committed to the whole season
