Our client school is looking for a teacher to work with students in years 9-12 who can facilitate learning across Stage 5 and Stage 6, in a range of curriculum areas, integrating literacy and numeracy skill development, in their specialist and unique education setting in Vincentia, Shoalhaven.


This role will suit a skilled and motivated professional educator with a continuous improvement mindset, who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people who need an alternative to the mainstream education system.

A Primary/High School Teacher with a passion for Special Education - Vincentia, Shoalhaven, NSW

The role:

  • Full Time
  • Permanent Position
  • Commencing Term 1 202
  • Work with students who have been impacted by trauma, may have a mental health or behavioural disorder, a mild intellectual disability, learning difficulties, are neurodiverse or who may have another physical, sensory, cognitive or socialemotional disability
  • 1:10 class model
  • Experience working within Special Education would be desirable
  • NESA Accreditation to teach in NSW essential
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • Full Working rights for Australia
  • High level executive functioning skills in order to respond to the unpredictable nature of working with young people who have been impacted by trauma and who may display challenging behaviours.
  • Has experience in effective classroom management using positive behaviour support and restorative strategies
  • Thrives in working collaboratively with a small team of diverse professionals in an open and selfreflective community of practice, for the benefit of the students.
