About the Opportunity

We're offering an exciting role as a Business Development Representative at Metcash, focusing on maximizing profitable product sales in Alice Springs and Central Australia. Your key responsibilities involve providing a comprehensive supply solution to existing key account customers, exploring new markets for expansion, and actively expanding the customer base in the Independent Grocers Branch.

Your tasks include initiating and cultivating new business opportunities across all designated areas and identifying potential growth areas within FMCG and Foodservice categories.

In this Role

  • Seek out new business initiatives and growth opportunities
  • Establish and nurture strong supplier relationships while maximizing overall sales potential through effective customer management
  • Introduce new product categories to existing clients
  • Meet budgeted sales and margin targets as per the budget document
  • Manage contract pricing per customer and make adjustments as needed
  • Continuously strive to exceed customer expectations

You're Likely a Match If

  • Possess sales experience and excellent customer service skills
  • Have a solid understanding of the FMCG sector
  • Demonstrate a strong familiarity with the NT or Alice Springs market
  • Willingness to travel to remote locations
