Duties:

  • Operate small plant and equipment such as ride on mowers, tractors, spray equipment, and horticulture maintenance equipment
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of all work undertaken.
  • Undertake maintenance works including parks, street verges, gardens, sports grounds, littler removal and weed control.
  • Mow and cut edges with precision and to a high standard of presentation
  • Spray pesticides and or herbicides to reduce and control pests and irregular turf growth
  • Endeavour to meet maintenance targets in accordance with timeframes provided

To be successful for this role you will:

  • Have a current driver licence
  • Labouring experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience undertaking turf renovation works.
  • Hold a current 'ChemCert' (Chemical Handling) qualification.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Hold a current General Induction for Construction Work in NSW (White Card).

Desirable

  • Certificate II or III in Turf Management, Parks and Gardens or Horticulture.
  • MR Drivers Licence.
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • Loader or bobcat competency.
