What You Can Expect

The APAC Industrial Product Engineering team plays a crucial role as a bridge between our APAC industrial sites and the development and production center in North America. APAC Product Engineers are responsible for maintaining existing products through remote/on-site diagnostic work and commissioning new products, which includes deploying, testing, and developing new commissioning tools.

These engineers are adept at handling large volumes of data to analyze information and draw accurate conclusions promptly. The team possesses a robust technical background in diagnosing intricate electrical/network systems with substantial software content utilized in safety- and time-critical applications.

The individuals in this role are driven by a passion for diagnostics, possessing strong critical thinking skills and a deep understanding of technical system-level architecture and issues. They provide extensive support to the APAC Technical Operations and software/hardware developers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn how to troubleshoot systems and conduct diagnostics on field failures both remotely - analyzing system-generated data - and directly in the workshop.
  • Offer technical assistance to reduce downtime by addressing international field cases on a daily basis.
  • Provide field support using various troubleshooting techniques, including remote diagnostics.
  • Identify trends and patterns in field failures and relay insights to relevant teams to enhance future product iterations.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to ensure thorough investigation of new issues and implementation of effective countermeasures.
  • Support Design Engineers, Product Excellence, and MRB team members in conducting in-depth root cause analyses on field failures involving component/subsystem owners where needed.
  • Evaluate design enhancements and conduct regional testing.
  • Contribute to enhancing service diagnostic tools and technical documentation at both software and hardware levels.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate or in the final year of a bachelor's program in electrical engineering or equivalent field.
  • Proficiency in SQL and python.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities.
  • Knowledge of power systems and electronics.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-evolving work environment.
  • Proactive approach towards work.
