Join AGL Macquarie as an Inventory Planner


Are you a skilled inventory planner looking for a big role in the energy space? We are seeking an experienced Inventory Planner to join our team at AGL Macquarie in the Hunter Valley, NSW.

As an Inventory Planner, you will play an important role in coordinating the replenishment of inventory, ensuring timely deliveries to meet maintenance and operational needs, all the while minimising the risk of obsolete and excess inventory.


This role will support the warehouse, purchasing and planning functions to ensure delivery of materials to meet project timelines and maintenance schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demand Planning: Complete MRP (Material Requirement Planning) activities to support warehousing, purchasing, and planning functions
  • Coordination:
Work closely with Warehouse and Planning Managers to coordinate material movements- International Orders: Coordinate international orders, including freight forward activities- Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders such as Purchasing, Planning, and Engineering- Inventory Management: Maintain SAP master data and identify service level improvements and cost reduction opportunities

  • Reporting:
Provide reports and information as needed

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: 35 years' experience in an inventory planning role
  • Formal Qualifications:
Supply Chain or Project Management capability will be highly desired- Systems Proficiency: Excellent understanding of MRP systems, proven capability in using SAP, or similar- Analytical Skills: Capability in report design and analytics
