Your new role

Data Services is a newly established department in Fund Services that has the responsibility to establish a leading Data Governance, Management & Operations capability across all data domains in the Fund.

Reporting to the Principal, Data Management, this role will support the delivery of strategic data capability like the Customer360, Master Data Management, Data Quality etc.

Some key responsibilities but not limited to;

  • Create and maintain data assets to analyse & interpret complex datasets from a wide range of sources, and transform this data into insights to inform business decisions
  • Conduct deep analyses into highly complex & technical issues to succinctly define problem statements, provide recommendations on target state solutions and identify benefits.
  • Apply standardised templates, methodologies and processes for data analysis & management activities
  • Fully leverage advanced enterprise tools like the Azure data platform and automation tools in developing data management capabilities
  • Provide SME inputs & implementation support to various projects & teams across the Fund on data related matters
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency/productivity gains and manage the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify opportunities to use data to improve business outcomes

What you'll need

  • Strong experience as a senior data analyst in Financial services (superannuation, banking, insurance etc.) and experience working with customer or investments data
  • Advanced knowledge of databases, data warehouses, data structures and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience in defining data transformation rules, defining selection criteria for data ingestion, and identifying data quality issues.
  • Experience in specifying & documenting business data requirements
  • Advanced skills in: Complex data & systems analysis; SQL, DAX, PowerBI, Excel.
  • Experience in automating data management functions using tools like Power Automate, Python, macros etc.
  • Experience in superannuation or other member focused industries and experience working with member/customer data will be highly valued.
