The role:


Lead and manage the Centralised Test Service team by ensuring testing is executed to a high standard and manage the User Acceptance Testing environment for the end-users.

The position works in a busy operational and project environment, with a strategic focus on developing and implementing business-focussed solutions that achieve efficiencies in service delivery and sustained service improvement.


In addition to this, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinate the testing of core clinical and business systems which support state-wide delivery of key pathology, pharmacy, public health, community health and forensic and scientific services.
  • Ensure compliance to Queensland Health's 'Always Current' program related to Windows 10 and Office 365 upgrades for Information and Technology Services and their customers.
  • Deliver efficiencies in testing using the Tricentis Tosca tools for test management and test automation that can be created, easily updated and maintained to deliver manual and automated testing service capability for Information and Technology Services.
  • Provide expert advice on all testing activities required for the maintenance and development of a range of Information Technology systems that provide healthrelated data for Queensland Health and its clients, including system integration and regression testing and coordination, and user acceptance testing coordination in a complex system environment.
  • Investigate, promote, influence and drive the resolution of test execution issues and the generation of service improvement opportunities through the development, implementation, ongoing management and improvement of Information and Technology Services testing and automation processes.
  • Preparation of core documentation related to testing including Test Strategies, Plans, Test Product Summary Reports and Testing progress updates.
  • Provide expert and strategic advice through briefing notes or other communication channels as required on a broad variety of topics either proactively to manage testing progress, risks and issues.
  • Represent the Centralised Test Service, as required, in high level and often complex communications, collaboration, negotiations and other interactions with clients, vendors and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure resource flexibility and capability to support the delivery of testing solutions and services to all stakeholders including the provision of resources required for projects.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the development and modification of the Queensland Health Information Technology systems are aligned with relevant ICT strategies, policies standards and practices and that existing and planned systems and IT infrastructure remain compatible.
