About the Opportunity:


Reporting to the Manager, Energy Resources, the Commercial Officer will provide general commercial support to CleanCo's Customer and Energy Market's function.


You will monitor and report on Energy Market activity, identify sources of relevant and accurate commercial renewable and firming market data and have a focus on providing general commercial support across the Energy Market team.


As a key member of the team, you will assist with commercial negotiations, collate information to support medium to long term renewable and resource energy contract negotiations and support the management of existing energy supply contracts and relationships for our generating assets.


This is a newly created permanent opportunity and includes a hybrid flexible working arrangement for up to 2 -3 days per week working from home.


About you:

  • You are a quick learning allrounder and are keen to effectively perform a wide variety of commercial support tasks related to energy market activity.
  • Previous experience providing commercial and energy market support in the energy generation industry.
  • Exposure to the negotiation and execution of medium to long term renewable and resource energy contracts and a genuine interest to further develop your skills in this space.
  • High level reporting skills and evidence of providing exceptional commercial support in a energy environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and following business processes.
  • Exposure to the National Electricity Market (NEM) and knowledge of energy market fundamentals will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft package, eg. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
