Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Engineering (50%)- Build and maintain data warehouse pipelines globally.
  • Data Stewardship (20%)- Contribute to and maintain Data Governance standards, processes and documentation.
  • Data Platform (15%) - Own security, scalability, recoverability, performance and availability of our structured and unstructured data platforms.
  • ITIL/Information Security (15%)- Contribute and adhere to ITIL and Information Security Processes and Procedures.

Specific Job Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field is required.
  • 5+ years building and optimizing data sets, 'big data' data pipelines, and architectures.
  • Proven ability to perform root cause analysis on processes and data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrated experience with data transformation, workload management, and metadata.
  • Understands Data Governance concepts.
  • Familiarity with various database platforms and the use cases for each.
  • Proficiency in in SQL for data querying and manipulation, knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and experience with data modeling tools are crucial.
  • Strong background in deploying dashboards and analytic solutions for senior executives.
  • Experience translating complex analytical requirements into technical designs including data models, ETLs, and dashboard/reports.
  • Expertise in data warehousing, relational databases, ETL technologies, big data tools, cloud computing, and programming languages like Java, Python, R, Scala. Additionally, Microsoft fabrics and SQL. Must have experience with: Microsoft PowerBI to create reports and assist others with their PowerBI needs.

Experience That's a Plus

  • Extensive experience working with Cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Database administration experience for structured and/or unstructured big data platforms.
  • Experience with data migration projects.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and testing disaster recovery strategies for data hosted in the cloud.
