Our client is a Registered NDIS Provider who provides plan management and support services to NDIS participants.

They are currently recruiting a Mental Health Support Worker to provide in-home support to a gentleman who suffers from a mental health condition called Schizo-Affective Disorder.


This opportunity is for a permanent part-time ongoing contract of 25 hours a week - initially starting off with 3-8 hours per week with a gradual increase.

There is also opportunity to take on additional shifts with other clients as vacancies arise.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted, integrated and individualised responses to clients through flexible, personcentered support
  • Deliver high quality services
  • Provide a safe, nonthreatening, comfortable environment and positive social and emotional support system
  • Personal Care assistance with toileting, showering, meals, medication, grooming, dressing and household chores
  • Daily support assisting in planning, communication and transport as required
  • Administrative tasks

About You:

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support/Disability
  • Mental Health specific study highly regarded
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the current issues, standards and trends in delivery of disability services in the NDIS funding model
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to handle change with enthusiasm, resilience, and flexibility
  • Client focused, innovative and responsive approach to the role

Must Have:

  • First Aid & CPR Training
  • Victorian Driver's Licence (p2 minimum)
  • Own Victorian Registered Vehicle with Insurance
  • Working with Children Check
  • Covid19 Vaccination 3x Doses
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (if not, be prepared to obtain)
