About the Opportunity

Join the team at La Trobe University as a skilled Data Modeller. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in crafting and upholding Enterprise Data Models, ensuring top-notch data modelling practices, and bolstering the Modern Data Platform. Collaborate with diverse university teams to transform business requirements into sturdy data models, contributing to crucial data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize conceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • Ensure high data quality and minimize redundancy through best practices
  • Collaborate with teams to execute data strategies and establish data flows
  • Maintain metadata and enforce standardized naming conventions
  • Conduct reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts
  • Analyze data models and databases for deviations and inconsistencies
  • Offer expert guidance and consultancy to maintain high intellectual standards

Your Profile:

  • Hold a degree in a relevant field with extensive experience or a comparable mix of knowledge, training, and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to solve intricate problems leveraging theoretical and professional expertise
  • Extensive experience with data modelling tools (e.g., Azure Resource Management tools)
  • Certified proficiency in MS SQL Server and MS Azure data technologies
  • Proficient in visualization tools like MS PowerBI
  • Familiarity with SAP WEBi Reports and SAP Universe Design
