Bruny Island Safaris is seeking local Tasmanian Tour Guide/Drivers who share our love for Bruny Island, Cape Bruny Lighthouse, the amazing history, sights, and the local produce and keen to work casually, up to 3 days a week.

Must be available to work Friday to Tuesday and Public Holidays

We are a locally owned and operated business and have been showcasing Bruny Island for 11 years. We are the only venture offering access to the Cape Bruny Lighthouse. Our tours are fully inclusive, including lovely fresh oysters, cheese, honey, chocolates, and lunch at Hotel Bruny.

To be considered for this position you must hold the following:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Light Rigid Licence
  • Working with vulnerable people card.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Public Passenger Vehicle Licence.

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Guiding and bus driving experience essential.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to mesh groups together quickly.
  • Excellent time management, punctuality, and reliability.
  • Must have exceptional communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.
  • Available to work weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.

Tasks & Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Preparing the bus for the tour each morning.
  • Safety transport checks.
  • Passenger pickups around Hobart.
  • Safety brief and tour interpretations.
  • Food preparation for morning snack
  • Full day on Bruny Island and return passengers to Hobart.
  • Paperwork and close procedures

Salary:
$ $31.93 per hour

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
