About the role

We are seeking an individual with a positive and supportive attitude to help assist with our highly dedicated team of School Crossing Supervisors and help deliver the operation of our School Crossing Program.


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Induction and training of new school crossing supervisors
  • Conduct onsite inspections to assess supervisor's performance
  • Work with local primary school and community groups as well as other government agencies promoting active transport
  • Conducting OHS checks and reporting of traffic management defects
  • Commit and adhere to Council's zero tolerance of child abuse, its principles of being a child safe organisation and its reporting requirements for child safety

About you
You are a proactive, efficient and results focused individual with excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail. With strong organisational and time management abilities, your ability to communicate with a diverse range of people is integral.

The following is also required:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in a relevant area in local government or related sector.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication and public relations skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
  • Ability to embrace, promote and implement continuous improvement initiatives and best practice programs.
  • A valid drivers License.
