This is a unique opportunity which will necessitate you to think broadly, be forward-thinking and proactive, and consider how domestic and international business environment, regulatory, tax and other changes will shape Macquarie's business activities.

In this role you will be involved in a range of topics including:

  • Ongoing monitoring and management business unit usage and capacity with respect to regulatory limits
  • Active involvement in intragroup funding projects, in particular change and transformation initiatives across Macquarie particularly with respect to reporting
  • Calculating and analysing the impact of new regulations on internal funding arrangements
  • Reviewing business requests for offbalance sheet support arrangements (e.g. parent company guarantees) for qualitative and quantitative risks, and recommending courses of action to senior management
  • Management of risk via development and maintenance of intragroup policies and frameworks in coordination with risk teams
  • Review and challenge of internal processes around intragroup funding
  • Analysis and understanding of complex data sets, and producing actionable insights to support decision making at the senior management levels
  • Ability to follow a change item through to completion and think through to implementation phase
In this role your technical skills and qualifications will include:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills coupled with an ability to understand and succinctly explain large and complex data sets
  • Clear & concise written and verbal communication skills and ability to engage with all levels of management including nontechnical stakeholders
  • Prior experience in treasury related functions (e.g. funding, liquidity, capital, or regulatory reporting) will be viewed favourably, but is not required
