About your new role

Based out of Southport, you'll join our Plant workshop team and outwork planned maintenance including quarterly inspections and maintenance of vehicle-based plant.

As a Mechanical Fitter you'll contribute to the major inspection program on Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP) across Energy Queensland's locations.

You'll be required to attend to unscheduled services, breakdowns and after-hours response. After hour call outs will receive applicable overtime and on call allowances.

The remuneration for your new role is from $93k - $96k per annum % superannuation (9-day fortnight) + on call allowance + overtime as applicable.

About you

You are experienced in the operation/maintenance of vehicle based plant used in the electricity supply industry, specifically relating to heavy vehicles including MEWP, Crane Borers, VLC's and Vacuum extraction units.

You have demonstrated experience in fault finding, repair and maintenance of:

• Hydraulic systems
• Mechanical fittings
• Automotive electrical systems
• Radio remote control systems.

You hold a Trade Certificate in Mechanically related discipline e.g., Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Mechanic etc.

You hold Licences or have the ability to acquire:

• HR class driver's licence
• High Risk licence for slewing mobile crane (C2) or the ability to acquire the licence
• High Risk licence for Mobile Elevated Work Platform (WP) or the ability to acquire the licence.

You will be required to complete a pre-employment medical or respond to preemployment medical questions.
