The Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust is responsible for Australia's oldest scientific institute, three iconic botanic gardens and one of the nation's most significant public parks.

The Trust incorporates the Australian Institute of Botanical Science, the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan, the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mount Tomah and The Domain.


About the role


Our Finance, Property and Corporate Services team are seeking a Manager Property & Commercial Services to manage the existing, and to develop new commercial opportunities, including the activation of under-utilised assets.

This role is pivotal in maintaining and monitoring existing relationships and ensures the Trust's property portfolio and other commercial arrangements are effectively and efficiently managed.


About You

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant experience in property, business, finance or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in managing commercial operations with proven record in achieving positive outcomes in the generation of revenue from property and commercial businesses.
  • Business acumen with sound financial management, planning and modelling, and budgeting experience.
  • Experience in conducting financial analyses of business and property proposals.
  • Experience in negotiating and managing commercial leases and licences in a social, environmental and economic sustainability environment.
