The Role:

Fractional/Fixed Term (0.2EFT) ending June 2024.

  • Orygen's Statewide Program is commissioned by The Victorian Government to support delivery of the Royal Commission on Mental Health and to support reform of the youth mental health system.
  • The Medical Consultant Statewide Model or Care Development will produce evidenceinformed statewide models of youth mental health care. Specifically, they will develop an evidence informed statewide model of care for acute youth inpatient settings and units.
  • This will be achieved working in close collaboration across the state with clinical and other colleagues, young people, their families, and communities.
  • The post sits across Orygen Clinical Operations and Knowledge Translation Directorates.

About You:

  • Extensive experience at the level of Senior Consultant Psychiatrist
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise and management experience consistent with a leadership role in a comprehensive mental health service
  • Demonstrated achievement in education and training of medical students, postgraduate students and management of medical staff.
