Description:


MPC Kinetic is seeking an experienced Health, Safety, Environment, and Training (HSET) Advisor to support our Gas Field Services Project Team in the Surat Basin, Queensland and Cooper Basin South Australia.

Reporting to the Business Partner HSE - Services, this permanent position will:

  • Ensure all works are executed in accordance with company and client Safety Management Plans (SMPs), policies, practices, procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Coach and mentor personnel to develop and improve safe work cultures.
  • Support the Assist and Assure program.
  • Promptly respond to all reports of unsafe conditions, unsafe activities and unsafe equipment and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Develop and conduct effective business relationships with key stakeholders and other internal and external organisations as required.
  • Ensure currency of knowledge of the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) standards and training packages.
  • Coordinate HSE training courses for all Project personnel.
  • Assist with the scheduling and organising of onsite and offsite training courses, through Registered Training Organisations.
  • Assist in the development of the HSE and Emergency Management Plans, Policies, Procedures, and monthly reporting.
  • Ensure training compliance to policies, business systems and other relevant safety or contractual obligations.
  • Conduct internal and external Audits and compile reports as per an agreed audit schedule.
  • Coordinate and manage relevant systems and registers.
  • Manage incident response and conduct incident investigations

Skills and Experiences:

About You:

The required qualifications include:

  • Diploma or Certificate of Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE
  • Lead Auditor OHS Management Systems (Desirable)
  • Workplace First Aid / CPR
  • Queensland Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator's (Desirable)
  • Current State/Territory Driver's License
  • Class C
  • Certification in a recognized Drug and Alcohol testing program
  • ICAM or Taproot investigation training
  • Ability to work 14/14 roster with possible rotation to interstate (Cooper Basin SA)
