An experienced Senior Contract Commercial Officer is needed at Piacentini & Son, situated at our Head Office in Bunbury, Western Australia with required periodic remote site travel.

Piacentini & Son is a well-established earthmoving and mining contractor with multiple sites throughout Australia.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Contract Commercial Officer. In this role, you will be entrusted with supporting the project management team during project delivery to safeguard the company's commercial interests.


Responsibilities:
  • Management of all commercial and financial aspects of the project
  • Providing advice to the Project Team on contractual matters and assisting in drafting formal contractual correspondence
  • Preparation and management of progress claims, EOTs, and Delay Notices (NoDs)
  • Assessment of subcontractor variations
  • Handling all related contractual correspondence
  • Monitoring project expenditure
  • Proficiency in preparing contractual correspondence

Skills and Experience Required:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management/Quantity Surveying or Law
  • Commercial background preferred
  • 3-8 years of experience in commercial construction and contract management
  • Extensive experience in mining projects (earthworks, drainage, services/utilities, etc.)
  • Prior experience as a Contracts Administrator managing claims, variations, EOTs, and Notices of delays
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Conditions of Employment:
  • Full-time, permanent position (Monday - Friday)
  • Monthly site visits required
  • Applicants must reside locally in Bunbury
