About the team

Our innovative Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs) offer a smarter way to fulfill online orders and bring joy to our customers. Your role at a CFC directly influences every customer's order—pretty cool, right?

As pioneers of innovation, you'll be instrumental in redefining the online grocery shopping experience. Our cutting-edge CFCs in Australia enhance customer experiences by providing better availability, fresher products, and seamless digital interactions.

About the role

You'll be the go-to expert for providing technical guidance on transport safety at the OCADO site. Ensuring van fleet operations and deliveries prioritize customer safety is key in this 6-month fixed-term position.

Key requirements include:

  • Strong expertise in health and safety, with a focus on reducing critical risks in yard and road operations, traffic management, and transport safety.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in FMCG distribution centers, manufacturing, or automated environments.
  • Proven track record of delivering results and driving change in a fast-paced setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance safety requirements with practical, commercially viable solutions.
  • Capability in crafting safety plans aligned with business objectives.
About you and your skills

We're seeking a seasoned Transport Safety professional with experience in developing environments and establishing processes. Your qualifications should include a Safety Degree, Cert IV, or related discipline, along with expertise in managing transport regulations and fostering stakeholder relationships.

  • Strong coaching, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to raising transport safety standards and ensuring accountability.
  • Effective communication, influencing, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in safety reporting and utilizing insights for safety initiatives.
  • Adept at conducting driver debriefs for continuous improvement cycles (optional).
