We are seeking a talented Design Engineer -Warehouse/Distribution Center with expertise in CAD and automation software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consulting, bringing innovative solutions to our clients' logistics challenges. This is a 6-month contract (day rate) with opportunity to go permanent for the right person. Open to Sydney and Melbourne based candidates, there will be travel involved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop warehouse and distribution center layouts using CAD software.
  • Integrate automation technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Conduct site assessments and analyze data to inform design decisions.
  • Prepare detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Provide consulting services to guide clients through project implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in warehouse and distribution center design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
  • Knowledge of automation systems and software (WMS, PLC, robotics).
  • Strong consulting background with excellent client-facing skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and create actionable designs.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
