About the team
The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.
The opportunity
Right now, we have an up to
2 Years Fixed Term opportunity for a Team Leader Grade 1 to join our maintenance team based in Goulburn, NSW.
We are seeking those that reside within a 50km radius from the Goulburn depot as you will be on call when required
You will be responsible for:
- providing guidance and direction to team members in a non-trades environment
- managing routine problems that arise without support
- participating in team meetings and pro-actively offer suggestions for improvement
- resolving conflict between team members or others outside the team
- providing on the job training to team members in relevant procedures as required
- ensuring safety, environmental and quality controls and procedures are implemented on site
- timely completion of scheduled maintenance activities and works in accordance with TfNSW specifications and operating procedures
About you
We're seeking a proactive and organised leader with extended knowledge and experience in a civil construction environment who can provide strong leadership to bring out the best in their team.
We are also looking at applicants who can build strong working relationships with external and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects.
We want you to be your best and will provide you with opportunities to develop your skills.You'll hold the following:
- Valid White card
- Traffic Control certification
- Valid Driver's licence
Experience operating at a Road Worker Grade 3 or Bridge Worker Grade 3 level, and sound experience using internal reporting systems.
As our teams operate across the State it is highly likely you may be required to work outside normal working hours, attend after hour callouts, and must be prepared to travel throughout the state including working and camping at locations away from the base station.
Wage and Benefits
The wage for this position is Team Leader Grade 1 ($1, per week, plus super and allowances.
