An overview of this role:

  • People Business Partners (PBPs) ensure business objectives are in sync with people solutions in the organizations they support.
  • Act as trusted, strategic advisors, coaches, and change agents to senior leadership by providing data-driven insights on people-related matters.
  • Aligned across all divisions and departments at GitLab for dedicated partnership.
  • Contribute to People Group initiatives by engaging with other People Group DRI's, providing insights from client groups, and championing key initiatives.

What You'll Do:

  • Support and provide feedback to client groups and consult with managers on talent strategy.
  • Identify great talent internally and externally to enhance GitLab's performance.
  • Quickly identify business needs and propose solutions to senior leaders for driving organizational results.
  • Develop and drive People programs and processes aligned with GitLab goals from start to finish.
  • Lead client groups to maintain high performance standards and address performance management trends.
  • Analyze trends and metrics with the People team to develop solutions and policies.
  • Work on improving work relationships, morale, productivity, and retention.
  • Provide guidance on restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Participate in company-wide Talent Programs iterations and execute them within the client group.

  • Progressive People Business Partner experience supporting leaders at all levels.
  • Expertise in HR areas such as organizational design, leadership development, and change management.
  • Strong attention to detail, technology proficiency, and effective communication skills.
  • Results-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable with problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong EQ, global talent experience, and ability to handle high-volume workloads.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Master's degree and/or HR Certification strongly preferred.
