The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking applications from candidates who are interested in a career in the corrections industry.
We are looking to begin this course at the beginning of July. The role will be paying $32.40 per hour (Casual), with a pay increase after the 3-month period.

This is an entry level role, where you will gain the experience needed to work in this field in training.

We will be offering Permanent Full-time, Part-time, and Casual positions.

The Candidate:


Successful candidates should have a flexible approach and the skills and ability to deal with people from a differing and diverse range of backgrounds.

You'll need to be able to communicate effectively and manage conflict or challenging situations in a calm and assured manner.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:Providing for the safety and security of Persons in CustodyTransport Persons in Custody as requiredCare for Persons in Custody whilst admitted to HospitalCare for Persons in Custody whilst in Court CustodyWe recognise that people are our greatest asset, and we are committed to being one of the best employers to work for.

As a result, we seek to employ people who will succeed in this role and possess the following skills and experience:
High safety and security focusBe willing to obtain a First Aid Certificate

Ventia will provide you with all the professional training required to fully undertake and succeed in this role.


You will need to have Australian Working Rights and have the ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check, Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol test in order to be eligible for these positions.
