About the Program
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) aims to give people with disability better access to personalised, high quality and innovative supports and services.
About the Role
- The NDIS Worker role is located at
Illawarra Clubhouse in Wollongong. You may also be required to travel to our Campbelltown site
- Harmony House. The role is a permanent parttime role and is one day a week with a view to increase hours in the near future. This role uses a recoveryoriented approach to provide agreed NDIS services for people with a psychosocial disability who have NDIS Plans. The role will deliver centrebased/group activities and individual supports, to meet the goals of the people we support. As a team member, the NDIS Worker will work collaboratively with other team members to facilitate the effective operation of the team.

Your skills and experience
- Certificate IV in a relevant discipline (eg. mental health, peer work, disability) or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of the NDIS and the NSW mental health system and local services, or ability to learn
- Drivers Licence required
- Ability to use the recovery
- Demonstrated values consistent with personcentred ways of working and supporting the person's choice and control
- Ability to exercise personal responsibility and work as a team, with the support and guidance of a NDIS Project Manager.
- Awareness of the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples; and hard to reach, culturally and linguistically diverse and LGTBQIA communities.
Additional Details
One Door Mental Health requires all staff to have a Police Check clearance, a current Working with Children's Check and NDIS Worker Screening clearance and appropriate COVID-19 Vaccination.
