DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will collaborate with internal business teams and colocation vendors to address operational/design issues that may impact site performance. Your role involves providing support throughout the Data Centers' life-cycle, from design to maintenance. You'll be the go-to engineering expert for technical advice and work closely with various teams to:

  • Work with DCE Colocation Design and Standards (CoDeS) team to develop and implement standards.
  • Review design and equipment submittals for new Colo Data Centers to ensure consistency across sites.
  • Identify risks in Building Management and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems for AWS Colo Data Centers.
  • Assess automation controls drawings, wiring diagrams, logic programming, and user interface.
  • Validate changes to control infrastructure against AWS standards.
  • Review Colo and Hybrid controls operation sequences.
  • Support upgrades and design enhancements for existing Colo Data Center control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and document equipment failures.
  • Conduct site audits, produce risk reports, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in construction, commissioning, and turnover of new projects.
  • Lead training sessions on Colo controls and optimize related processes.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of project coordination experience.
Proficiency in English and collaboration within a diverse team.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in relevant Engineering discipline.
5+ years of project coordination experience.
Expertise in Siemens, Honeywell, Trend, Schneider Electric, Rockwell Automation, Tridium, Eaton, ABB, or Johnson Controls products.
