About the Company
Our client are a central financial authority and financial advisor.
The Settlements Officer role is responsible for the provision of banking and settlement services, safe custody of securities holdings and the maintenance of appropriate banking arrangements.
The role of the Settlements Officer is central to the day-to-day operations of the banking and settlements team being one of the first points of receipt for transactions from the Front Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Settlement confirmations: review and forward settlement confirmations to clients.
- Daily cash sweep: process daily cash sweep.
- Assist in process improvement recommendations/implementation.
- Process cash movements as required.
- Processing/ authorisation /reconciliation of transactions.
- Create and send payments.
- Reconciliation of accounts.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, preferably in Business, Commerce, or Finance.
- Successful completion of VCE is required for the role
- Basic understanding of Treasury and Financial Markets
- Basic understanding of financial instruments including derivatives
