Our new Coburg depot has an exciting role available for a depot 2IC. This role will be challenging but very rewarding with room to grow into higher positions in the future.

Job Summary:

Return and Earn Depot Workers are responsible for efficiently managing the collection and processing of recyclable containers, such as bottles and cans, within a return and earn program.

They play a vital role in promoting environmental sustainability by facilitating the recycling of these materials and ensuring compliance with recycling regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring the quality of goods
• Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees performance
• Organise and maintain inventory and storage area
• Communicate job expectations and coach employees
• Determine staffing levels and assign workload
• Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems
• Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status
• Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices

Must Have:

• Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques
• Forklift & driver licence
• Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data
• Handson commitment to getting the job done
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Basic logistics, supply chain management or business administration experience

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Morning shift
• Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

• Forklift Licence & fist aid certificate (required)

Work Authorisation:

• Australia (required)
