Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CCU/MCR Operator to join our GTV9's Vision Department.

As a CCU/MCR Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the on-air quality of live broadcasts, ensuring seamless transmission and delivering high-quality content to our viewers.

Weekend, public holiday, morning, afternoon, and evening shifts are a requirement of this position.

Day to day you will need to be able to:

  • Report to the GTV Technical Operations Supervisor.
  • Work with Senior Technical Directors in a team environment.
  • Set up and operate a variety of High Definition broadcast equipment.
  • Have some knowledge of broadcast digital studio systems.
  • Be involved in mobile link deployment and Network Outside Broadcasts.
  • Operate broadcast equipment and supervise the routing and coordination of television related signals in the Master Control room.
  • Operate and track equipment used during productions.
  • Have demonstrated an ability to logically fault find, and correct, faulty studio and station video systems during productions.
  • Have demonstrated an ability to perform basic maintenance on studio and OB equipment.
  • Maintain OHS training and standards to ensure safety of all crew, talent and public during set up and operation of productions.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

Qualifications:

  • A knowledge of the design and operation of professional camera and video systems is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Be able to fit into an existing working team.
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask.
  • Logical mind with a good problem solving ability.
  • A knowledge of Broadcast video systems is desirable.
  • Good computer skills are essential. Knowledge of Google Suite
  • Knowledge of OH&S standards and requirements.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • An electronics background is desirable.
