Exciting opportunity for a Positive Behaviour Support Supervisor to join a successful NDIS provider in WA. You will be part of a vibrant and passionate multidisciplinary team who provide allied health and mental health services across Western Australia This is a state wide supervisory role, so there is opportunities to be based in Perth Metro, North of the River, Perth or be based in regional WA in either Kalgoorlie or Karratha

Our client provides a range of allied health and National Disability Insurance Scheme services to children, adolescents and adults.

With clinics across Perth and throughout regional WA, it is their mission is to provide easily accessible and high-quality therapy to clients throughout the state.


Due to recent expansion, our client is seeking a dynamic leader to join their growing mental health division and become an essential supervisor to new graduate and experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners This will be a hybrid role of state leadership supporting new and experienced clinicians across WA and the management of a small caseload of children and adults with a wide range of presenting difficulties.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a PBS services and team across the organisation, managing PBS staff in multiple sites.
  • Have the capability to provide effective clinical supervision for therapists and provide mentorship on report writing, assessments and other PBS related tasks.
  • Be able to identify report on behavioural issues and write functional assessments and Behaviour Support Plans as well as have the capacity to train support staff and therapy assistants in implementing behaviour management plans.
  • Provide a positive, engaging and personcentered approach to mentoring and supporting staff and work collaboratively with MDT.
  • Continually strive to assist the needs of individuals and improve the quality of life, overall reducing the needs for restrictive interventions.
  • Have the ability to effectively assist customers with complex and challenging needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team and ensure that the highest standard of service is being offered to customers and that
  • Provide guidance and support in identifying, reporting and authorising the use of restrictive practices in line with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission's guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with various disciplines and external health practitioners / stakeholders.
  • Ensure you keep up to date with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission's guidelines and implement any changes to guidelines within team when required.

The requirements

  • Driven and motivated leader with experience supervising and supporting new graduates and early careers Behaviour Support Practitioners / OR senior with significant background in the field.
  • Able to assess clients' behavioural conditions and strive to create individualised treatment plans to optimise health.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a high level of written and oral communication skills.
  • Working with Children Check card

  • NDIS worker screening check
  • Relevant industry body registration
