The Opportunity


Hitachi is actively seeking a highly motivated individual to join the team in the position of Modularisation Supervisor for our state of the art Forrestdale site.

Reporting to the Modularisation Co-ordinator you will be responsible for planning, organising and supervising the Perth Workshop Modularisation operations to meet customer requirements and deadlines, while working closely with Modularisation Co-ordinator and Leading Hand to achieve department budgets and allotted KPI's.

As a key member of the team you will also be responsible for:

  • Maintaining work schedules to ensure efficient utilisation of equipment and resources.
  • Be responsible for the day to day activities of workshop personnel to ensure labour is used effectively.
  • Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders pertaining to customers, machine performance, product, workmanship, and warranty.
  • Carry out quality control inspections of all works onsite and offsite to ensure total customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate works between several internal business sections to ensure works are completed in an order and time that will allow for continuous work flow and the meeting of completion deadlines.
  • Ensure HCA employees and contractors working at off site locations comply with all HCA WHS responsibilities and the WHS responsibilities of the 3rd party vendor.
  • Ensure HCA employees and contractors comply with all WHS responsibilities and that a safety first culture is a consistent behaviour within the department
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant diesel or mobile plant mechanic trade qualifications
  • Similar supervisory experience with strong leadership skills and the ability to get the team to work cohesively
  • Demonstrated safety focus with a strong understanding of WHS principles
  • Experience in the maintenance of mining & construction equipment (Hitachi exposure would be a distinct advantage)
  • Excellent time management with the ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities
  • The ability to use initiative to contribute and support continuous improvement, and drive change
